Narrative

Alok Nandi is working on “Narrative Design”, a space where the creative process is architectured and structured in order to explore and express interesting, meaningful and appropriate knowledge and experience. From idea to concept to composition to project, we articulate the next.

More on narrative.in, a place to explore and reflect on narrative modes in multiple media: a narrative lab, a storytelling lab.

Building on experience in different scapes – film, media art, exhibition design, radio, publishing, festivals, pecha kucha and live storytelling, graphic novels and comic books … -, the www.narrative.in website looks at storytelling in transversal ways.

“In 1996, as Japan Foundation fellow, I was proposing the Benshi, as metaphor of “interactive narrative”. In 2007, after number of high-tech installations in mixed and augmented reality, I launched PechaKucha Brussels, which can also be labelled as a low-tech interactive narrative, à la Benshi, of the early 1900′s in Tokyo and around.

A première of TempoBenshi took place on Dec. 1st, 2014 in La Bellone, Brussels.

In 2014, I am working on my PhD at Brussels University – Scaling Narrative, Tasting Interactive. Exploring Notions of Interactive Narrative in Complex Systems.”

In 2021, the VIA-Framework allows to render the “narrative voyages”.
