film

The first fascination for cinematography and filmic narrative was found in the films of Ozu Yasujiro, in 1989.

A book on Satyajit Ray in 1990-91 and a series of exhibitions and texts as well as speaking about his work allowed me to do then what would be called now a “transmedia” piece.

In 1996, I was Japan Foundation fellow, and worked on the cinema of Imamura Shohei. Tokyo Vignettes was a video piece resulting from this stay in Tokyo, connected to film and urbanity.

In 2005, I made a video installation in resonance with the work of Ritwik Ghatak.

In 2006, I was involved in the “Bombaysers de Lille” India Festival and gave talks about Indian cinema.
